I have 250 feet of frontage with an average height of 4 feet. Looking for recomendations that won’t put me in the poorhouse. Current seawall is starting to fall down. Live near Dadeville.

Remember the three little pigs.  The pig that made his wall of straw got a great deal.

Mine is made of concrete footer with rebar, dry stacked compressed block with three feet of rock behind.

NO WALL will survive bottom scour without rip rap at the base.   Good luck.

I got an estimate from a contractor for a geostone sea wall, 216 feet, and it was going to cost over $30,000.

My seawall is in fairly good shape. I patch it every year at low water but I noticed some toe scouring so I bought - for almost nothing - a huge roll of used heavy conveyor belting. I rolled my rip rap away and leaned the belting along the base and replaced the rocks.

Low water this year revealed little scouring.

Depending on how bad the seawall is, remove the cap blocks and put short lengths of rebar  down inside the blocks. Possigly you can carefully  break out a small chunk of the web on the top course and lay lengths of rebar to tie the wall together length wise. Then pour bags of pre mixed concret wetting as you do. If the wall has holes plywood can be wedged against it to hold the concret in place until it sets.

Not the best solution but I hope it helps.

I have also used rubber belting around small islands to stop erosion from boat wakes.

Don't quite understand the question.  I guess you mean how far you can get the concret down. Shaking the vertical rebar will usually cause it th settle to the bottom.

Michael Daniels just poured mine last week near the Little Steel Bridge. He's pretty busy this time of year as seawalls are his bread and butter, but his number is 256.397.4527. Nice guy and easy to work with. Just hard to nail down due to his busy schedule.
