I was fortunate to repower a 19' Center Console over the last two weeks. The owner is an avid Stripe fisherman on the Lake. Outboard Technology has came so far it is unreal. Over the past several years, we have grown familier with the latest O.B. stuff. Long story short, 115hp old carb engine off, new Mercury 2 STROKE DFI 150hp on with new program. Result was way good. Ole betsy ran 42, now 35hp later???? Center Console runs 61.6 gps. Better yet, 2500 rpms yeild 27 mph with new prop now. "Things that make you go Hhhhhmmmmm". If you are stripe fishin', watch out for the black boat. Just sayin'.

That 175 Optimax you put on my Whaler last year might just be able to keep up too. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
