We went to Christopher's with the family for dinner and found the place closed. When we arrived others were looking in the windows for a clue but there was none.

We assumed that they are no longer in business. To bad as we had looked forward to a good dinner.

We noticed yesterday when driving into Stillwaters that their sign said 'closed" on one side and "summer hours" on the other.  You think if they served steaks they might survive....by that I mean just being a steakhouse restaurant.  Just a thought.  Hate to see them closed.

Not so sure Christophers did not do well enough to make it.  He had a lease on the restaurant. But the whole property was foreclosed on and eventually bought out of foreclosure by someone else.  The juidge alllowed him to stay while in foreclosure as he was paying his lease. Sorry he got trapped in someone else's mess.

Christopher is at a restaurant in Montgomery now.  Can't remember the name but that's what he said his plan was at the beginning of the summer.  He's a wonderful chef but maybe restaurant owner isn't in the cards for him...  I'm sure he will do great wherever he is.

I'd like to know where in Montgomery. Is the Auburn on gone?

One in Auburn closed maybe 3-4 years ago. Was there on the last night. The owner told me he was moving to Montgomery on the river. Was surprised when he showed up on Martin. As many on the forum have said, a restaurant with a $100 evening for two, with a good bottle of wine, seems like a gamble on the lake. But from my conversation with the owner was a very, very good cook, and wanted to use his skill.
