I took a long boat ride from Kowaliga Bay to the 280 bridge a couple weeks ago. I noticed that there are still a few structures on Pleasure Point, where all the other structures have been demolished. Any ideas about why they are the only buildings standing? And, can anyone speculate what might happen in the future?

I miss the old store and gas on the lake. Just had a nostalgic “lake” feel to it. Hope they bring something similar back. Would be a great place for a restaurant too! Anyway, I guess time will tell. Beautiful property.

I believe those structures’ owners filed suit against APC that evidently has not been judged or resolved yet, and APC won’t remove the trailers till case is finished. Gates are locked so owners can’t access.

I have noticed the same thing when I go by there. I suspect APCO will wait an appropriate amount of time and will either sell or lease the land for future development. Will take time for memories to fade and the aggrieved to no longer be with us. I can tell you if I could get one of those lots facing west I would do so if at all possible.

As far as I know it is still in public use/recreation status. I never looked up the final map after the last reliscensing but I don't recall any talk of it being switched out. If it is it will the next reliscensing before it gets a change in status most likely.. If anyone knows the final status after all the land swaps last time I would like to know, just not enough to do the research... Lol

Probably the best views on the lake. The old Dixie Sailing Club area can compete but the west facing lots in South Ridge Harbor have the Anchor Bay storage building in their face. The Pleasure Point west facing lots are long and clean.

I think a multi use commercial/residential development would be nice. Dinner at sunset would be the bomb! Just sayin!
