It is another Vietnam regardless of what others here say?

The security of that nation belongs to the Iraqis.

\We helped them achieve liberty, and we will try to help them achieve security, but in the end they will have to decide what kind of nation they want to live in.

We cant decide that for them.

If they want to murder and are determined to do it with suicide bombers we cant stop them.

There are few (if any) citizens of Iraq that share our values.... it is still hard for most Americans come to grips with this fact and understand a completely different culture. We have two choices: Completely destroy and rebuild (impossible given OUR culture), or leave.

Agree with jlazc, the American society judges the entire world by our standards. We didn't go into Iraq to set up a democracy--we went in to set up a government friendly to the US so that we could set up and have a base of operations for the military in the Mideast. We work better with corrupt puppet rulers in third world countries.

If we pull out of Iraq, Iran will move in within 60 days--then we got us a real problem. Wouldn't be surprised if Malawi already takes his orders from Tehran. It's a mess.
