We could all get continuous updates of lake weather if one of our computer wizard, full time residents would buy a weather station and put it online. The weatherunderground web site explains everything you have to do: buy station, have full time on computer, link to their web site and then we all will know what's happening 24/7.

It's a great service and free to all. No one currently does this at the lake. I am able to monitor a personal weather station within 1/2 mile of our place on the coast.

I am going to check on this. I have a Davis Instruments weather station on my dock that is wireless and can be hooked up to a computer. I think it will work even if I am not a fulltimer as I can set my computer to restart after power failures (numerous at the lake). I will keep everyone posted.
