Best for Fishing?

Approx. memory needed?

I got the navionics gold chip for my GPS/Fishfinder. It's very detailed...almost too detailed. Shows all depth lines (like a topo).
I've been very happy with it.

Have you caught more fish?

Ha! Compared to what? I don't think it affects obvious structure fishing at all. It does help find deep structure and it helps find which structure is closer to depth changes. I've only been fishing on the lake since March, but it sure has cut down my learning curve on finding fish. Now catching them , that's a different story...

Sounds like fun to me. Any time spend on the lake is time well spent. Have a great lake day.

Do any of these charts provide depth rings, or other depth indicators?

The navionics hot maps has both.

So curious, does the Navionics chip provide detailed info for the Chart only or the Chart and the GPS? Looking for more detail on island names, public ramps, etc...
