I think he is talking about this one, that appears lower down on lakes.alabamapower.com:

Special Operations Message
Effective - 3/4/2008

Though the effects of the drought continue to take toll on the state, recent winter rains have increased to a point where APC is capable of supporting 90% of navigation flow into the Alabama River.

I'm guessing it is useful info for the barges.

Minimum flow for navigation is 4640 cfs. (or close) and I think what they are saying is they are going to increase flow (read some from Lake Martin and the Coosa River) from the 2000 cfs to 90% of 4640 cfs. My guess is they're getting ready to have some releases from Martin.

Saw the Martin outflow info yesterday and there were virtually no releases in the month of Feb. We'll put this info in a HOBO Update shortly.

Have heard a nasty rumor from 2 people this week that says Gov. Riley says they have an agreement that Martin will drop 10 feet of water out on March 10th in turn for having winter pool at 483. from now on. I said that was the craziest thing I have ever heard and I believe they would be making an annoucement so that everyone could once again untie their boats from their floating piers, etc. Anyone else heard this?

The Gov must need to work on his pier.

I heard this last week. Can anyone check this out so we will know if it's just a mean rumor.
Doesn't make sense to me.

like to start crazy rumors to see how far they will get.......I'll wager a very large sum of money against this rumor if there are any takers.

BS rumor. Can't lower the lake that quickly and would be insane to do so at this juncture. Georgia would love to see it happen to seal their victory in Federal court.
