The question has been asked on the forum a couple of times, and a lot of folks are wondering about proper techniques for white styofoam removal. I have studed the situation and have learned these are the preferred methods:

(1) If you have some white styo showing under the dock just take a 2 x 4 and gouge it out when the wind is blowing toward the center of the lake. These will blend in with the springtime trash on the lake.

(2) Hook one edge of the dock to a come-along and raise it up to release the six foot piece of styofoam. Do this preferably when the wind is blowing toward the center of the lake.

(3) If the floating dock is pretty well shot anyway, just hook a tow rope to the entire structure and take it to a slough where you think no one will notice that you are taking it there, or that you left it there.

Are there any removal methods that I have missed?

(4) Tie a peddle boat to the dock or just the Styrofoam block and it will soon float away. Be sure to post in the forums that you are missing a block of Styrofoam with a peddle boat tided to it.

Drag it to Sand Island. Apply a liberal coating of charcoal starter. Strike match and open the cooler with 5,000 weiners. Nail large sign to the pine tree announcing hotdogs for sale.

Tie a rope to a tree (no permit required) and form a swing. When all the weiners are gone, scoop shaved ice out of the cooler and have a snow ball fight. LOL

Don't forget, we need to hire BP to drill an oil well in the chimney rock area as well.I know it is not 5000 feet deep, but it is as close as we can get to it.

One person in a neighboring community told me he just pulled it up on land, took it apart then burned it all right there. I am sure the styrofoam must of smelled real good....
