I, and I believe most others agree with your dislike of censoring. Although, you must go back to the rules of this Forum. There are rules we are suppose to obide by just as in other aspects of our Democratic way of life. Those rules provide the foundation for the protection of the rights of others.

The introduction to this Forum does state; "Although the forums are not moderated, requests may be made to the Forum Manager to delete threads that contain inappropriate content. " You could read that to mean it violates someone's right of totally free speech but protects the rights of another party. Just my humble opinion.

I wonder who requested that TIVO's post about missing posts be removed?

There is no such thing as a "right to totally free speech." If such a thing existed, then there would not be laws against libel, slander and perjury. But, these laws do exist; hence, totally free speech does not.

This is not pointed towards you, feb, but to many others: people who throw around phrases like "Freedom of Speech" and "First Ammendment Rights" need to do some research first; I think you'll be surprised at what you learn.

That was exactly what I was attempting to state boardcop. I think we will have to violently agree to agree.
