mythbuster will come up with several pages of statistics that prove that Auburn could have beaten Florida--any time, any place, with one arm tied behind their backs. LOL..

No, that would be speculation; I deal with facts. Anyone could post the things I post, if they were willing to do the research.

Now, if you want my OPINION, it's this: On offense, Florida didn't play nearly as well as it looked; the Ohio St. gameplan was as bad as I've ever seen. The Buckeyes opted to try to neutralize the Florida WR's speed by playing off the ball, and playing more men in coverage. This was exactly what Florida wanted; it opened up the short routes, and it allowed Chris Leak to stand in the pocket. To beat Florida, you want to pressure Leak, and force him to make mistakes. Any coach who watched film knew this; check out these results against conference opponents and FSU, who they play every year:

Tennessee W 21-20
Kentucky W 26-7
Alabama W 28-13
LSU W 23-10
Auburn L 27-17
Georgia W 21-14
Vanderbilt W 25-19
South Carolina W 17-16
Florida State W 21-14
Arkansas W 38-28
Ohio State W 41-14

The most Florida scored in these 11 games? 41, vs. Ohio St. Largest margin of victory in these 11 games? 27, vs. Ohio St. Interceptions thrown in the conference/FSU games? 11. (And he had at least three fumbles in those games, as well.) Turnovers vs. Ohio St? Zero. Teams that elected to put no pressure on Leak? One: Ohio St. Coaches who had an incomprenibly bad game plan? One: Jim Tressel.

Defensively, Florida just kicked butt. That's no surprise, since the Florida defense kicked butt all year long. Their job was made a little easier when Ginn got hurt, but he wouldn't have made enough difference to change the final outcome.

That is an excellent analysis. I, too, was surprised that Ohio State was so poorly prepared to play Florida. I loved the result, though! War Eagle! Nice to have beaten the National Champions.
