...texts without Twitter or FB accounts?

A majority of people do not do these sites, so a text-only system (like Auburn Univ.) may gain more followers.

What do you have against facebook or twitter?....you may be surprised at how may people do use these services and there is a large number of forum users that are also facebook members (Worldwide, facebook has over 400 million active subscribers). I use the services to easily stay in touch with my family and friends when I travel and I hear from my son daily while he is studying in Europe this summer. I have also met many new friends at the lake with the help of facebook.

...that's all.

Nothing wrong with that, is there?

I don't subscribe, so I must be out of the Alert circle.

nothing wrong with that at all, but as you stated it is a personal preference.

All the tools needed for folks to take part in these services are available and a smart phone is not required. Have a great lake weekend!

posted by John C in a previous string. For those that haven't used twitter, don't be afraid to give it a try. It's easy and there are very easy to use privacy settings.
