Former REPUBLICAN governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, were indicted Tuesday for illegally accepting gifts and loans from a political donor.
The charges against the couple were outlined in a document filed by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, which detail how McDonnell and his wife accepted more than $135,000 in gifts and loans, trips and other items from Jonnie Williams Sr., former CEO of Star Scientific.
As Martini would say a resume enhancer forr a Liberal but really it is just the norm for the high moral Conservatives.

When you can scrape up similar outrage about Billary letting our Ambassador be sodomized and strangled by Islamofascists and then lying about it for weeks or COTUS destroying our economy and making the world a more dangerous place I will try to work up some outrage about some former governor getting accused of taking gifts. Until then STFU because no one cares about this or the fat RINO and his bridge when the country is being destroyed by your false god.......priorities GF......you need some perspective. Of course that assumes you don't hate the country the way TOTUS does.......you don't do you? One has to wonder sometimes.......

Not animosity on my end. Just frustration that someone appears to care so little about important issues but is fixated on minutiae. Only one of two explanations, he is either completely clueless or he approves of the destruction, malfeasance and evil. I would like to think better of him. Apparently he thinks our angst is nothing but partisan politics or racism instead of the truth that Obama has been an abject failure and has done considerable damage to the country and the world. That's why he views these stupid little scandals with Republicans as somehow equivalent to the mess his false god has created. In his mind a Republican getting caught cheating on his wife is equivalent to selling guns to drug dealers that are eventually used to kill Americans, or using the IRS to intimidate and harass political foes or the disaster that is Obamacare. That is truly sad and unfortunately the country has far too many ignoramuses like that.

Well said! One has to think that eventually enough folks that count will declare "enuff IS enuff" and take action. The laundry list is just getting too long to ignore.

Angry at Martini???? The older I get, the less I care what people say about me and the happier I become. Unlike the Right, Obama hasn't found reason to take us to war like Bush. Bush names N Korea and Iran as axis of evil and did nothing.

1. Obama got Osama
The Navy Seals got Osama.
2. Obama brought troops home from Iraq who were sent by Bush
and now he is considering sending them back to "train" more Iraq troops to defend the country.
3. Iran negotiated with Obama
Iran negotiated with the UN not omama.
4. Obama got Syria to destroy chemical weapons whle Bush went to war over phantom "WMD"
Get your facts straight, Putin got Syria to destroy chemical weapons.
5. Obama bringing troops home from Afghanistan who were sent to war by Bush
This is 50% accurate, omama wouldn't let our troops fight so why not bring them home?
6. Rodman undercover for Obama friends with Jong
Rodman is now entering a re-hab facility to recover from being a drunk because he is friends with Jong and omama.

I might be wrong on this but didn't John Kerry, John Edwards, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid all agree with Bush that Saddam had WMDs and voted in favor of the Iraq war?

“I ended up voting for the resolution (to go to war with Iraq) after carefully reviewing the information, intelligence that I had available, talking with people whose opinions I trusted, and trying to discount the political or other factors that I didn’t believe should be in any way a part of this decision.” –Hillary Clinton, March 7, 2003
So you are wrong again GF. She made her decision to vote for war in Iraq based on the very same intelligence that the Bush administration did but only after carefully reviewing it and talking to people she trusted and discounting political and other factors. And don't even bother with the thoroughly discredited falsehood that the intelligence was manipulated. Tried and refuted like all left wing nut nonsense.
Keep trying GF, maybe some of the scatalogical matter that you throw around might someday stick.....but not this time.

Bush went into Iraq to get back at Saddam for putting a hit on his daddy. With all our military advancements, we should have been able to take him out without an invasion of a Third World military and then "fire' all the military. A typical Right wing plan. Israel could have taken them out in a few days. Now feel good and tell me to "STFU".

i take exception to your description of Sadams army as Third World millitary. At the time of the invasion iraqs Army was rated 4th or 5th only behind U.S., Russia, and China. The Republican Guard Division was as well trained and well equipped as any soldier on the planet. The fact that our stealth technology and other high tech methods was able to decimate them in short order does not relegate them to "Third World" status. A very big factor in our abillity to win so quickly was simply the lack of will to fight by many of the iraqi's, not lack of resources or training.
To say they were a "Third World Millitary" disrepects our brave men and women who served and died to defeat that army. Make any silly, inane, illinformed, partisan political arguement you want, but don't disrespect our men and women who serve to protect your right to do so in the proccess.
Don't forget that i know you GF, and you are a better man than this.
Climbing off my soapbox now.

...that we knew that Saddam had NO weapons of mass destruction before we invaded Iraq? So which conclusion should President Bush have made BEFORE pressing to invade Iraq:
We aren't sure Saddam has WMD... though he boasts that he does and will give them to Islamic terrorist. Therefore, let's not invade.
-or-
The preponderance of evidence from ours and other intelligence agencies is that Saddam has WMD... and he boasts that he does and will give them to Islamic terrorist. Therefore, the safe course of action is to invade.
-so-
The Pretender is waffling and Iran is prevaricating. I firmly we believe we are going to reap the fruits of timidity.
