bamaalum is correct. The unsold units went back to the bank this month. There were a total of 43 unsold units that went back to the bank. Crowne Pointe has a total of 90 units. From what I know most the units had commitments to be purchased during the early stages of construction. Commitment defined as putting money down on a unit. The main problem was it took way to long to get the development built.

again--lake buyers want single family homes--townhomes are ok since tehy are fee-simple & not stacked on top of each other--buy a condo & you are asking for trouble--the builder & construction lender didnt do their research--condos were in 'ovewr supply' before this development began--" build it & they will buy ?"= dumb lending; maybe call some wall street guys who got the mega bucks for getting us in a mess & get them to consult on gettting rid of the units? I feel sorry for those who already closed on units

If I didn't live here, I'd rather a condo or townhome than a house I had to spend time on rather than enjoy my little leisure time. That is why I have a time share. Just go and enjoy.

Worst eyesore on the lake. Best thing that could happen is if the stupid bank can't sell 'em. Build a monument to the greed and stupidity of developers that ruined a large section of Blue Creek. May it always serve as a reminder to those greedy B_______ who will mess with paradise.

I live down the road from these "eye-sores" and we are not happy. However, we do know that Russell is taking over these condos. We went and looked at them 2 weeks ago (curious) and they are poorly built. They were going to sell a 2-bedroom unit for $235,000.00 and a 3 bedroom unit for $295,000.00. It's a great view but horrible construction.

I can see the viewpoint of folks with the "lake is no place for condos" attitude, but let me submit that, hey, it might not be your cup of tea, but that is what some folks want.
I agree that there is a ton of supply on the lake right now of condos, but the same can be said for single family homes.
Yes, Crowne Pointe has had some challenges in the past but similarly I challenge anyone to ride up on the hill that overlooks them and tell me that's not a good view.
I say all this as my own opinion, at this time I do NOT have a listing there or any other relationship with it whatsoever.

I agree with you John. The veiw is fantastic. It will end up being a great condo once the new developer has it completed.
