I was hoping someone would respond to my post "Cat Whiskers". It pertains to the auction of a beautiful 1940's Gar Wood Mahogany "Vacationeer" boat with the name "Cat Whiskers".
It will be auctioned by Du Mouchelles Auction House in Detroit. The appraised auction price is between $15,000 and 25,000. The auction date is Oct. 16th. It is fully equipped with trailer and power.
You just need to look at the pictures.
I figured at least NC and Cat would appreciate its beauty.

NC - I think Cat wants to get Bob drunk and do you know what to him, I knew there was a strange side Cat always heard he ran with a diff crowd.
Think Cat just came out of the closet inviting Bob on a date to the dam, I sure am glad he did not invite me as those would be fighting words for sure.

I would think with all the good fishermen on LM, yall could lure Bob to any location with the right bait. I would recommend, Cakebread, Silver Oak, Jordan, or a sure bet; Opus One. And, BTW, I'll be there too.

I think you may of gotten your post under the wrong part of the thread.
Anyway, Bob and I normally enjoy our time together with either tea or diet pepsi. He is a nice man like most everyone on the Forum.
All humor aside. I do have three bottles 1990 Chateau Latour and other bottles of earlier French wines if anyone is interested.
I last heard the 90 Chateau Latour was going at close to $1000.00 a bottle. I will part with it for the group purchase of the Cat's Whiskers.
Remember, you never know who you are joking with. I am very serious.

There yall go again smokin' that chit. I left town to deliver tow truck to North Alabama and come back and find all these crazy post. Funny stuff it is. FEB, I never got the link to work. Knox Kershaws Hacker is here for engine rebuild, it is a nice boat. I would love to have one. As for BOB, I ain't gonna push him in the water. He has his own opinions, and they are like a55wholes. We all have one, some are larger than others, and some have hemorouds (spellcheck) buldging like BOB's. I'd still sit on the tailgate and have some cheap wine with him and a good laugh. FEB, where is my clock you promised? MC2. when you coming back to the shop? Yall think Saturday would be a good day to gather and cook at Cathouse? I have no plans, and would think we would have good time. What yall think? Weather is nice outside.

No problem. I don't know Bob either.
I suspect very few do and therefore maybe a little critical of the guy. On the other hand, he could be almost as big a A-Hole as I am. LOL
You did mention some nice wines. The 1980 California Zinfandels and Caberenets were the best ever produced anywhere.
