What is the origin of the lots in Boltoncove? I know Russell is listed on the sign, but who owned the property originally? I am on the other side of the water from you, toward PC marina, and we are under strict codes from the Alabama Power convenant on building, dwelings per lot, easement from water and property lines. Any such restriction over there?

I don't know who owned it before. We closed on our property on Halloween last year. We aren't familiar with who owns what. From what I recall it was in the process of being cleared when we bought last year. I know if you have an address you can go to the Coosa County courthouse and pull up all of the records on the property. I did it with our property before we bought it because we had questions and didn't want to wait for surveys to make our final decision on purchasing.
If you can't find out, let me know and I'll see about going one day since I'm a sahm. I have something else I want to look up as well.

The property a little further down from there (in the direction of Veazy's) appears to be unrestricted. Seems to date back to the late 1960's.
Do developers even pay attention to old covenants and restrictions? Or do they just buy everything in a "subdivision" and do what they want with it since nobody is left to complain?

They just broke ground this summer. As I mentioned before, Terry Henley, who started Parker Creek Water Co., bought two cabins to the right going into Bolton Cove and tore them down and built three nice, big houses to sell. I would go in and look at them all through construction. If anyone is so interested, I am sure they could call Terry in B'ham and he would know all the details. If the average guy could have seen the potential, Terry would have bought the land. He is the same Terry Henley who played at Auburn after Sullivan and Beasley left. Three yards and a cloud of dust Terry.

If he played for Auburn show him a real cloud of dust when you run away from him.
