If you want spectacular, you need to go watch the Macy's fireworks on the East River in New York or the presentation on the national mall in Washington DC (both are about tied for the best I've ever seen). That said, I think the fireworks here at Lake Martin were very nice (about average compared to past years) and we enjoyed watching them again tonight ...thanks to all who helped put on a good show. I'd also like to thank the many boaters who drove to and from the event with their docking lights turned on.....you can never be too careful and you certainly wouldn't want to run into anything.

Everyone on our boat, most of whom have seen almost every fireworks display (some of have seen EVERY one of them) agreed that it was the best in many years. One person, who has seen just the last two, called it the best fireworks show he has ever seen.

I think it was the best show in years !over 30 minutes.the hearts and smiley faces amazed the kids and not 1 but 2 intense finales were good .What more could you ask for ?these shows are expensive and dangerous to produce and I am very greatful.26 years straight without missing a show.also where you watch from is very important.If you are 10 miles away - it will always suck!

While macy's show is grand -they spend 1 million + the thing that makes the lake martin show head and shoulders better is -its not in N.Y.,N.J. or DC !

Why have a negative attitude! You are at the lake! Watching fireworks, most likely in a boat! I have been watching since they began on the other side of the lake and some years have been better than others....but....you get to look, enjoy and have an opinion...that is freedom!
