Well I guess it's time to meet Cat in person. After reading the forum for years I almost feel like I know him. This week I was changing the oil in the outdrive (Alpha I) getting ready to store the old boat for another winter and found a milky mess instead of dark oil. The reservoir on top of the engine is full of the mess too. I am guessing this happened late in the summer because I know the reservoir had good oil in it mid-summer and I only used the boat 5-6 times after July. It was stored on a lift when not in use. Think I did a lot of damage? I am in Birmingham and don't mind the drive for good work. Cat when and what shop should I come too?
First off, I appreciate you choosing us for your repair. This time of year we are very slow, and need the work. Being that you are in B'ham, prolly easier to get to Cathouse in Dadeville. Is the boat on a trailer now? I am at Lake Martin store today. Call me if you can. As far as damage, I would bet you have none really. Just need seal kit and pressure checking. Now would be a good time to check everything out. I look forward to meeting you. Thanks again for your consideration. Is the boat on my side of the lake?
Sorry i missed you. I was in a hurry trying to get back home to see my daughter before she went back to college.
Thanks for fixing the boat and giving me options on the repair. As I have always read on the forum and now know in person, you do a first class job at a fair price and deliver when promised! What more could one ask for.
