Heard a rumor today there could be a bankruptcy filed on their part. I heard no details as to whether it involves the restaurant business, just the Montgomery restaurant if so, the type of bankruptcy, or if the Lake facility could be involved.

If there is any truth to this, I think we all fear for at least the nostalgia loss of Sinclair's Kowlaiga. I have heard for years supposedly the Montgomery restaruant business basically carried the Lake establishment. You might think even a reorgainization endeavor could be poison to Sinclair's Kowaliga.

Please tell me it ain't so, and this is just a sick rumor.

You seem to have some confidence in this rumor. Even if S goes under on the Lake, if the need is really there something else will rise up.

They always seem busy, and the prices should be sufficient to support it, so if it fails maybe it was just mismanaged? Of course there have been plenty of horror stories about the service over the years, so if it WERE to be disestablished and some fresh blood were to come in maybe it would be more successful. The physical facility certainly is conducive to a pleasant meal.

We like to go there on occasion, but as-is it doesn't "wow" us.

My nostalgia is reserved for the restaurant that Sinclair's replaced, since it was there for more than 40 years, as opposed to the 10 or so that Sinclair's has been in that spot.

And it would still be there if the landlords had been willing to honor the lease that they themselves had signed...
