I was there Saturday and Sunday. I took home a 1' Malibu with a ski rack. Ok . . . it's a cheap plastic remote control boat but I'm still going to try to ski behind it. We're going to test drive the real thing in a few weeks. Anyone have an opinion on Malibu's?

I also want to know if RoswellRic bought his monster house boat that is gonig to raise the lake level to 491'?

RR did in fact buy the boat and will now no longer be communicating with us small boat owners.

I had an older Malibu and was very pleased with it. I sold that and bought a 2001 Nautique. We couldn't be happier with the Correct Craft. The quality from the vinyl to the hull and engine are second to none. They are a little more expensive, but tend to hold their value better. Good luck, I'm sure you'll spend many great hours enjoying the lake whichever boat you decide on.

Are too funny! I sure looked at it... and then my checkbook balance, and then I went to the Kayak section... :-)

While Malibu's have a good reputation, in terms of holding their value they probalby are not as good as MastrCraft or Ski Natique.

I would suggest, if you are going to spend like $35k to $40k on a new Mailbu look for a 2 or 3 year old MasterCraft in excellent condition and low hours. In the long run you will come out way ahead on the depreciation side.

I currently own a 1997 MasterCraft Maristar 205V and the current FMV is approximately what I paid for it over 5 years ago used.

Good luck.
