Anybody have any recommendations on a company or product that will protect a wooden seawall against termites? Our current company only protects the structure (house) and not the seawall. They say that they cannot protect seawalls because they cannot use chemicals that close to the water (which I agree with).

However, are there any "environmentally" friendly products or companies that can perform this type of protection for seawalls?

I always assumed the Arsenic and Copper in pressure treated wood was toxic to termites. What about the Terminix baits if you are really concerned. I will be interested in the replies of those more experienced than me.

I'm with you Doc. I am certain that treated lumber is in itself a termite deterent. Or at least the old formula was. What I am seeing with the new treated lumber is not impressive. Has anyone ever been killed by arsenic from treated lumber? Our wonderful Nanny State always seem to ban anything that actually works.

Interesting thing is Mil Spec for treated lumber requires the old formula.
