While cruising the lake Saturday my wife and I found ourselves in the southeast tip of Tallassee Slough. Our house is fairly close but we have never gone that far into the slough.  There was some type of commercial looking building with a "use by members only" sign. Looking at the tax assessor's website it shows Shoreline Park Association as the owner. Can anybody tell me what that is?  Thanks

It looks like it used to serve as a marina. Who is in the association? What does membership include?

It is a water front park formed for the residents who live there over 30 years ago. To be a member you must own property in the residential area.

It is a private boat ramp for the homeowner members. The owners who are not waterfront have access to the beach area. There are three of four streets of interior lots and these owners have access to the beach. They can swim, play, and launch their boats.It is often referred to as Kowaliga Retreat.
