Just curious as to what you think about Letterman's comments about Sara Palin's daughter. You know... you keep harping on Rush's comments about Clinton's daughter. Just wondering if you found these comments equally disturbing? Inquiring minds want to know.

Letterman's attempt for an apology was sickening. Since when is it OK for a "has been" comedian to make a comment that Palin's daughter got Kn**** up. This was not the 18 year old. This was the 14 year old. The media would have gone wild if he had said anything close about Obama's girls. And rightfully so.

It was in bad taste and was absolutely wrong. I have to assume he thought the daughter at the game was the older one Bristol but that is no excuse. This will be the one time that he overstepped and it will follow him forever. It doesn't matter Right or Left, there is no defense. His apology was as lame as the "joke".

that politicans families were "off limits". Also used to think that "death wishes" were off limits too. Both should be. Neither of these things are funny.

I didn't hear them but from what Ive picked up on cable TV and thr internet, think his remarks about Palin's daughter were completely beyond the pale. His remarks about Palin herself as his previous remarks adout the Clinton's, Bush, Gore, McCain etc were completely fine because they are public figures and they shouldn't be in the kitchen if they can't stand the heat. If Limbaugh had called Hillary a dog It would have been in poor taste but completely acceptable. I know that I seem to be hung up on this Limbaugh comment from 15 years ago, but it was to me one of the most cruel and hateful remarks I have ever heard on the airwaves. My only child is a daughter and I don't understand how any man who has ever seen his little girl grow up could fail to be very offended by Limbaugh's remark or even worse, as some have done, defend it
