So… the United States has violated Pakistani sovereignty by, snuffing out a terrorist leader, who had declared war on the U.S., but had lived with impunity in Pakistan for 6 years.  Has the Taliban, who just killed 60 Pakistanis and wounded 120 more, violated Pakistani sovereignty?

If not, then they must be in Pakistan by invitation.  If the Taliban is not considered by Pakistan to have violated their sovereignty then, the Taliban must be enjoying refuge and support from Pakistan.

He, who gives sustenance and shelter to my self-professed enemy, cannot be surprised if I neither respect nor trust him.  He can neither claim to be my friend nor object when benefits of my friendship are abruptly curtailed.

As Bush said after 9/11 ... as the war on terror started ... you are either with us or against us.

I agree. Pakistan has no right to say anything. If they knew then they should have done something; if they didn't know, they should have known.

I agree, schrew Pakistan, yet, most every Crowley container seen on the highway is/was loaded with their cotton, this while the 18 Black Belt counties in Alabama have 4+ generations on multiple forms of taxpayer provided assistance. Kill 3 birds with one stone, by A) minimize, even eliminate the foreign aid, B) provide the opportunity to put labor averse US citizens to work, and C) reduce the burden on the producers. That there is truth, justice, and the American way. Was it just me or did anyone else get all tingly when Rand Paul said that the people who believe healthcare is a right are advocating slavery?

…and d) abandon the logistics LOCs to Afghanistan… thus realizing the added benefit of abandoning THAT desiccated quagmire (oxymoron intended).

The Pakistanis will commence wailing bloody murder when they realize that they have... in their unjustified indignation over the surgical removal of bin laden… chosen the fate of Pakistanis being abandoned to their REAL brutal enemy… the Taliban and their cohorts al Qaeda.

The problem in Pakistan is that they are so obsessed with India, that they don't even view Al Queda and the Taliban as a problem. I'm thinking that they think if they scream and yell about their sovereignty that the US will throw more $$$$ their way.
