Since we have been talking about State Farm, let me tell you what ALFA did to me.
I had my house, boats and cars insurance with ALFA for many years. I always paid on time and never had a claim.
One day they told me my insurance rates had gone up and asked me for an additional $25 for my house insurance (on a $1,200 policy). I informed them that they sent me a policy 11 months ago and they accepted my check which is a binding contract for 12 months. The Alex City representative called me and said that he wanted the $25 immediately and when I resisted he cancelled my policies 3 weeks before the year was up.
ALFA is not trustworthy.

had boat and motorcycle ins. with progressive, no tickets, no claims, they went up almost 300.00 after the first year. switched to gieco and cut my premiums in half... by by progressive for good.
