The deal expired, if you call in and ask for the new deal they will restore the old price. If they dont or give you crap, just tell them to connect you to customer retention.

If you know anyone involved in other cable companies please send them my way. We need to have other options in our community concerning Cable. I have visited Opelika and looked at what they are doing but, its going to take a lot. I myself am looking at going to some form of dish.

Called Charter last week and told them to cancel the account due to promotional offer from Dish. They transferred me to someone else and cut my subscription service (TV and internet) by 40%. They sent someone out and installed new internet modem and router (charged me $20 one time for router). Readjusted everything and everything seems to be working fine

Valid point, Samdog. I use Windstream for internet, but I don't know what options are available in other areas.

The number for the Eclectic area is (334) 541-3379.....I think their DSL/phone coverage is limited to the south west area of the lake.
