Didn't watch but read some details. Prosecution, and their experts weren't very convincing, and the defense did a fair job of creating doubt. That said, in my opinion, the family could be a circus freak show. The girl was incapable of emotion and had probably been subjected to sustained abuse, mental, physical, sexual or some combination. Not attempting to excuse anything, nor am I attempting to assign guilt, jes sayin

I have to admit I didn't really follow this trial much but I do know the burden of proof is pretty high for a murder trial. Needs to be beyond a shadow of a doubt and it sounds like from what little I read it was easy for the defense to create the shadow. Of course I am not very conversant so I could be wrong but I did watch to OJ trial more closely and that seemed clearly a case of a) jury nullification;and b) prosecutorial incompetence. This one I just don't know..... One thing I will say from my direct experience with the media is believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. If opinions are formed based on what has been reported in the media then a healthy dose of skepticism is probably in order.

Casey probably… likely… killed Caylee. The charge against Casey was first degree… premeditated… murder. Now THAT carries a death sentence. People want to see killers of children get the chair. That’s all well and good, but likely the child’s death was NOT premeditated. The child was more likely killed by accident, in a moment of rage… aggravated manslaughter… with which the mother was not charged.

The prosecutor miffed the case and both he and justice got burned. Casey and her attorney so obfuscated the case, that the jurors could not rule to the higher charge… sending Mommy to the electric chair. Casey walks and will not be charged again under the double jeopardy rule.

Casey will live with the blood of her child on her hands. She will likely harden… but, only on the outside… the putrid albatross will hang about her heart.

How do you go 30 days without reporting that your missing child is missing? It's entertaining to see all the Talking Head Lawyers who staked their reputations on the "remarkable" Prosecutions presentation that Casey was as good as executed, now backtracking. Yes, I believe she killed her child, she is an chronic liar, and dispicable human being however, the Prosecution had nothing but circumstantil evidence and thus, she walks. The only good result from this whole dispicable drama is that Nancy Grace was totally wrong, embarassed and currently, in meltdown mode. I despise that woman more than Hound dislikes Mrs. Palin.
