I don't think markets are generally worried by politics. Most of the time the markets worry about global issues, trade issues, labor markets interest rates. I guess they figured out that there is no point in getting excited about U.S. politics.
I was talking to my broker yesterday about how great the markets have done this year. Whatever else Trump has done or not done, it's created great environments for the market.

Historically, financial markets tend to do much better when neither Republicans or Democrats are in control of both Congress and the White House, which would seem to be counter-intuative. In fact, as the financial markets go, the more gridlock, the better. I guess that from an investors' perspective, the less that our government can accomplish, the better off we all are, at least from a financial perspective.
