   Now Biden and Putin are negoiating about their threatening to invade the Ukraine. Now I am sure things are well in hand with Joe  in charge. He has done such a wonderful job on every thing else he touched!

   Could this be a diversion to turn our eyes away while people continue to flood our border and our enemies use this golden opportunities to flood their agents in?

My gut keeps telling me that there is more to this Ukraine thing than meets the eye.  When the administration keeps releasing intel that says that Russia is going to invade, then my mind immediately goes back to the cherry picking of intel that supported our invastion of Iraq.  Also despite Biden telling us that he won't put troops in the Ukraine, he has 82nd Airborne units on the border of Ukraine - so technically, we are not in Ukraine, but almost (this is the same argument that my cat uses about not sitting on the table.  Technically, he is not on the table, but is sitting on a paper on the table).  

You notice we are no longer hearing about the "poor middle class and working poor" that needs all these breaks, we're not hearing about his failed Build Back Better bill, we're not hearing about climate change or any of the other myriad of things this administration likes to talk about, but have basically failed at.  

It would not surprise me at all that Biden is making the big deal about this to refocus everyone's attention away from everything that goes bad - which is about everything he touches.  And also to keep attention off of Inflation, to unsettle the stock market.  

Putin said today that he plans to declare the Doubas region as part of Russia.  This is the Russian seperatist area.  While the media is making much of this, there are areas of the Ukraine that do wish to belong to Russia.  Little know is that Crimea was primarily Russian speakers and Russian retirees (it was likened by a Ukrainian friend as the "Florida" of Russia).  It's not all cut and dried as the Administration and the media would have us believe.  And remember Biden said that a "minor incursion" on the part of Putin might not be worthy of sanction?  Putin said after a phonecall with Macron this weekend that Biden had agreed to some of Russia's terms.... 

In my opinion, the US is just as capable as Russia into turning Ukraine into a pawn.  If we were so worried about Ukraine, why would we not immediately make Ukraine a NATO member and protect them???

After hearing for 3 weeks, and daily the last 10 days, that Russian invasion is imminent, here is my amateur take on it

1.  Biden knows how much Putin wants to take over this time and has agreed to it

2.  Biden admin creates panic of imminent, imminent, imminent

3.  Olympics  conclude

4.  Russia performs minor incursion and gets the west properties

5. Biden says STOP

6. Putin has what he wanted this time, like with Crimea under Obama, and pulls back

7. Biden, Austin, Milley and ;Blinken declare Look how we stopped them

Of course they are hoping and praying that Russia invades.  VPOTUS is already foreshadowing the pain we will feel if this happens.  What these idiots  do not realize is that we were already in a lot of pain with inflation, stock market tanking, more people dying from the ChiCom virus under Biden (with the vaccine I will add), chaos at the southern border, interest rates going up, cost of housing sky high, loss of energy independence (we will be in a net importer in 2022), millions leaving the work force, endless mask mandates and so on.......all long before Russia began misbehaving.  No, we will not forget. 

We will also not forget the question Chuck Todd asked Tony Blinken, "How come Putin never did this when Trump was President?"  Of course we all know the answer.......they rightly see Dementia Joe as a brain addled, senile, weak old fool and Kamala as the incoherent moron that can't answer simple questions without making gaffe after gaffe.  And now that the Genocide Olympics are over you can expect the ChiCom's to also want to take advantage of this unique historical opportunity with a weak, feckless CIC and an even worse one a heart beat away.

Putin no longer sees the US as a "superpower".  After reading a lot this afternoon, it's clear that things in the Ukraine are not as cut and dried as Biden would have us believe.  Ukaine has been carrying out some level of retaliation against the seperatists and this low level conflict has been going on since 2014 with the annexation of Crimea.  

I wonder how much Ukraine has used that situation to leverage military and financial support from the Europeans and US?  We know that we have increased their security assistance (because of Trumps phone call), but how much else are we giving them?  And Biden has put our own troops on the border, which means that we may not have troops assigned to Ukraine, but they can certainly launch attacks from those positions against Russians.  

I was friends at one time with a Ukrainian born naturalized American citiizen and between conversations about Ukraine and doing some research on my own, I came to the conclusion that Ukraine history is that they like to leverage to their advantage.  Most of the country sided with Germany when Germany decided to attack Russia in WWII, but then suffered a price when the Russian pushed the Germans back.

When it comes to Europe and their relationship with the eastern nations nothing is ever cut and dried.  The question is whether Putin will use the ongoing conflict between the separatists and the Ukraine govt as an excuse remains to be seen.  Dementia would love it if he does because he will start blaming every negative thing going on here on that........you have my personal guarantee on that.  But this violence has been going on in Ukraine for a long time but suddenly now Putin may make a move.....and we all know why on the timing and I can't blame his thinking.  Certainly never a better opportunity in the last 50 years and maybe our entire history.  Wonder if Dementia Joe can run a war from the cellar in his Delaware beach house and only working 3 to 4 hours a day for 3 or 4 days a week......on a good week.  But hey, no mean tweets.

Just saw that Germany has suspended the Nordstream 2 pipeline.  How ironic that Europe put themselves at the mercy of Russia based on Dementia Joe's stupid change in policy.  Now all of the sudden they realize that what Trump told them from day one was 100% correct.  And watch the media and the WH try to blame this on Trump in a true gaslighting fashion.  It is truly hard to feel sorry for them at this point.  When you lie down with dogs you get fleas.

When I read about the pipeline, I wondered what Biden promised Germany to get them to take this action.  European countries never do anything without the quid pro quo.  Biden probably had a better chance with the new Chancellor than he would have with Merkle.  

I read somewhere this morning that we have given Ukraine over $4B in military assistance in the past few years.  Now they are whining that they need air support - they are determined to try to drag us into this one way or another.  And Poland is bracing for an onslaught of Ukrainian refugees and you know who will pay for them.  We're going to end up in one of those long drawn out conflicts that is going to cost us, but will never really ever be resolved.  

And gas prices are about to go through the roof, because Biden shut down all the pipelines and exploration in this country.  Just another typical Biden failure.  

I was reading that Biden likes comparisons with him to FDR and LBJ, but the truth is both of them were much smarter than him.  No one elected him to be a great reformer - he was elected to be a "nice guy" until we could find someone intelligent and savy to run the country.

I think people seriously misunderestimated (hat tip to GWB) his ability to royally screw things up.  Even Obama had him nailed when he said Biden has the ability to f**k things up.  And Gates famously said Biden was pretty much wrong on every major foreign policy issue. And all that was when the guy had all his faculties.....now he can't manage to work more than a few days each week.  I think I saw in the last couple of weeks that there were days at a tiime when he literally had nothing on his official schedule.  And as bad as he is, after watching Kamala flounder around Europe with one gaffe after another it scares the heck out of me if he can't complete his term.....and that is a very sorry state of affairs when he is the lesser of two evils.

The fact is that we are in this place, I firmly believe, because of the pandemic which allowed Dems in swing states (five major cities really) to stuff ballot boxes.  I will never believe Biden got 81M legitimate votes.....never.  The guy couldn't get ten people to one of his few rallies.

That's the most suspect thing - he couldn't get people to show up.  

Taking the long view, with Biden, if he puts Putin in a corner, Putin may lash out in a manner that would have a war across Europe with nukes. We don't talk much about nukes anymore, but there are a lot of options in nuclear weapons.  There are several "sanctions" that could push Putin there.
