Another one yesterday. An old Neo-Nazi that the FBI has had their eye on for years went to the Holocaust Museum with a gun. A security guard was killed. Apparently this old man had a web-site just filled with anti-Semitism and racial slurs.

Coming on the heels of two other hate crimes. I have to say it makes me sick at heart. Where does all this hate come from?

Went on a pontoon boat ride at 6:30 this morning, just to remind myself that everything isn't all bad.

Those slow boat rides are some of the best therapy. I just hope that not too many more people figure that out, I do not want a Lake Lanier West. I hope to start my week's therapy Friday night.

Hound , agree with your sentiments re hate crimes........and agree with the need for frequent early, mid, and late afternoon boat rides! To answer your question, don't know where
it comes from...... many places I'm sure.......the Rev Wright/ L Farrakan may be a starting point along with white supremacist groups and just today a 'prominent Rabbi' Dr. Morton Pomerantz has blasted the President as being a source??!

This morning it was a 6:30. Another morning it was 7:30. I guess you could say we are flexible.
We generally cruise around our "neighborhood" of Okachoy Creek; sometimes we go through the Narrows and go down as far as the Parker Creek Marina.

For the life of me I fail to understand why one murder spurred by anti-semitism is any worse than another murder out of greed or jealousy or anger or simple indifference. Two days ago I spent 6 hours touring Dachau with my family and I can tell you that hate was the last emotion that drove the Nazi's to kill Jews, Catholics, Gypsies, political opponents and other other undesirable persons. The fact is they were able to carry these out atrocities not because of hate, but because they no longer saw their fellow man as something human, possessing a soul and deserving of their lives. The whole concept of hate crimes befuddles me because today the greatest examples of genocide come from an unexplainable apathy toward the value of another human life. All murder falls into that category and no murder done for the emotion of hate is any more important than a murder done for any other reason.

Hound, I share your outrage but why not post about the murder and rape of a young woman in a city or a drive by shooting or some other awful event? Why focus on this one alone? It is PC these days to generate more outrage about the loss of life due to anti-semitism, or homophobia or the murder of a person from some other politically acceptable protected class that deserves no more, and not an ounce less of our outrage over their lives lost. Murder is wrong and a hate crime regardless of the circumstances.
