Ate with another couple last night at new restaurant (JAKE’S) in Alex City.  Service, food and atmosphere was great. Reasonably priced also. The address is 16 Broad Street.  It is located on the north side of the railroad track downtown.

We ate there about three weeks ago and I too was impressed.  A small, somewhat limited menu with both steak and seafood on it.  And the fried shrimp was as good as I have had anywhere.  The bar in the rear is also a gathering place for some of the local younger people.  FYI – it is in the old Greenfields location, which I thought was a neat place but did not like the menu.
