I think that is the new development, just across 280 from Lakehill?

The one that I thought was going to be the world's largest fireworks store :)

Yes, it is right across from Lake Hill on Hwy 280. Just a thought.... why do they think these condos will sell when the ones right across the way (Hilltop Hideways) did not sale well at all and ended up being sold at auction????? I don't think most people go to the lake to buy property with a view of HWY 280 along with its not so tranquil traffic noise. We shall see what happens. I personally was hoping for a really GOOD restaurant accessible by boat. Maybe even one that served breakfast!!!! Wouldn't that be fun on the lake! Wake up for an early morning cruise on the lake and stop for a good ole southern cooked breakfast! Hey... they didn't ask me!!

Hey TIVO... just curious. What is the price point etc... of these condos?

I'm still trying to figure out what I said to make Mudpuddle "have to be nice" LOL

Never, Mind regarding the statement about Mudpuddle! After reading some of his prior posts... I probably don't EVEN want to know what he was thinking :)

Hey TIVO, Thanks for the Link. It all brings up a couple of observations. I think many of us have lost perspective of what things cost these days. Property prices are booming just about everywhere and just not water front. Last week I read that the average price for a home in my county of priniple residence is now $327 thousand. How can the average person afford it? Then the property tax is well over a dollar per hundred. Thank the Lord, Alabama has not gotten anywhere near that high. Next observation, and this is made in jest since I do not know this realtor personally, but look at Mr. Langston in his picture. Who wants to deal with a crooked realtor? I am speaking of the angle he is posed in for the picture. I see his picture all over (I gather same picture), and my first thought is always "a crooked realtor". Wonder if he ever thought of it that way or the impression it might give off even subliminally. He is most likely a nice person and honest since he must do quite well in his profession or he would not have this huge listing.

Bottom line is be thankful if you already own or have a mortgage on a place. That goes double or even more lucky if on Lake Martin.

Was going to comment on your comment about a place to pull your boat up to and eat. An eating establishment is, by far, to say the very least, the LAST place I desire to pull my boat up to. See...wasn't I nice? :)

Whatever, Mudpuddle????????? Based on your comments about your "natural gas" problems those of us in an eating establishment would prefer you not be there :)

Used to have breakfast at both Kowaliga (Dolph and fmaily) and at Castaway (Joey and Grandma) ..but land prices have driven all those folks away..c.ant make breakfast anymore for 4.00

Exactly..... we've discussed that around my household. A breakfast place on the lake (accessible by boat) would be wonderful (especially for early morning fishermen) but you'd have to sell alot of sausage biscuits and coffee to pay for that shoreline!! Then what about the off season? I guess that explains why my "concept" doesn't exist anymore:) Have a great day!

There is a great one on Lake Lanier. Pull up to the dock, walk across the street and have Elvis bring you homemade biscuits. 30 ft buffet, any breakfast food you can imagine. Mom keeps the biscuits coming.

Then at night he fries catfish & chicken for you, puts on a great Elvis show and Patsy Cline makes an appearance too. Waddle back to the dock and take a nap before taking a moonlight cruise back to your dock or favorite cove with your sweetie...Heaven! Fun!
