I'm searching for a new cell phone provider and want to make sure I can get service at the lake. Which ones give the best coverage?

We have Nextel. We get service ALL over the lake, but it's hit and miss until we actually GET to the lake. Even the 2 way works at the lake.
Ours works so well, we've desided against getting a telephone phone service at our place. No phone and no cable for us! Our rabbit ears work just fine, along with a hand full of video's for night-we're all set!

I have also heard Verizon was good. You get no service with Cingular or SPRINT from the Oakachoy/Parker Creek part of the Lake. Last year,. I had to drive half way to Alex City to get coverage with SPRINT.

I have had Verizon for 7 or 8 years and have talked on my phone all over the lake. I have never had a call dropped anywhere on the lake or between the lake and Montgomery. I am thoroughly satisfied.

I've been extremely satisfied with T-Mobile's coverage wherever I go, including the lake, although it tends to get spotty between Stillwaters and Blue Creek

I've got Cingular and it has always worked great. Even on the back roads to Auburn.

My Cingular works great too. However, I get no reception on county road 72 between the lake and Auburn.
