Got a hot tub acting up.  Not heating beyond 87, set for 104.  Yes, the filter is clean.  Trying (in vain) to find someone to do repairs.  I suspect thermostat and/or heater element. Eclectic side of lake.

I get it. Mine has always been trouble. It was not heating like yours and the problem was that a cockroach had gotten in the control box and fried himself to one of the relays. Fixed that and ran it for about 3 hours then the pump motor stopped working. Motor is bad. Now I need a new cover since the old one is water-logged. Hot tub is a real money pit but the wife loves it.

About the only time we run ours is when my wife puts the cleaner in it.

Do you really. That is my gripe about getting it fixed. If you have water in it don't you have to keep it running with chemicals to keep from getting nasty? No one uses it most of the time so I hate to pay the electric and chemical bills.

I guess ours is just a large indoor whirlpool tub with a heater. We use it mostly as a regular bath tub and occasuonlly fill it high enought to turn on the jets.
