Found this story and pic today. This one is even bigger than the origanl Hogzilla and actually a documented kill..... by a KID.

I received an email about that a week or two ago. That thing is amazing. Some thought the first one may have been a photoshopped hoax, but this one is documented. Crazy. We have worked hard to keep those things off our hunting camp. There is no telling what it has to eat in a day to stay alive!

I have my doubts.

First, the picture looks fishy. I don't think it was photoshopped; I think the kid is actually several feet behind the hog, making the hog appear to be much larger than it is.

And in reading the story, statements such as this make me wonder how accurate the "documentation" is: "It was hauled on a truck to the Clay County Farmers Exchange in Lineville, where Jeff Kinder said they used his scale, which was recently calibrated, to weigh the hog. Kinder, who didn't witness the weigh-in, said he was baffled to hear the reported weight of 1,051 pounds because his scale—an old, manual style with sliding weights—only measures to the nearest 10. "

Add in the fact that the carcass has "conveniently" been ground up, and there are just to many "things that make you go Hmmmm..." in this story for my tastes.

There is not ONE picture of a person in FRONT of the hog. Since film was invented hunters have stood in front of the trophy for reason above. The animal looks bigger otherwise.

Also interesting they paid the $8.95 for a dot com name when a dot info name is 99 cents like
www.4aboat.info

See other dot info site with a good receipe.

The dot com name was chosen as they are selling things now. In the picture in the link, the 11 year old boy is up to the guide's eyes. This is likely because of the guide is in the background while boy is foreground.

I keep seeing "the boy killed it" and "boy gave final shot:...I think he just did that part. If that boy can fire eight 350gr .50 mag loads and still have all the bones in his hand, he's a better shooter than me. No co-op witnes. It is a 80,000 + pound truck scale. They go higher too. 80,000 pounds is hwy limit but no limit if you use the farm system of dirt roads. I have seen trucks loaded to 124,000 pounds. A scale this big will not have one pound accuracy.
