Limbaugh has recommended jn the past that Conservatives cross over and vote in Democrtic primaries. This time a Democrat recommended it and apparantly it worked. Cantor the number 2 in the House lost to little know Tea Party candidate.
Goodbye Eric

Have at it. Cantor lost because he totally lost touch with what his constituents, especially on the issue of immigration. Hopefully this sends a message to the GOP establishment that committing electoral suicide by rewarding illegals for breaking the law will result in them losing in the primaries. But to claim that Cooter caused this to happen is just plain stupid. Cantor lost because he stopped listening....period.

Is this closer to your opinion of why he lost? Read that Cantor was in DC yesterday rather than his district. Wonder if he even voted.
Another reason

I read that as well. I can't believe the guy is doing a fundraiser in DC on the day of the primary. Talk about arrogance. This was no so-called Tea Party upset. Brat is a true conservative and Cantor was a phony baloney beltway guy that lost touch with his district and supported unpopular issues that are not in alignment with his constituency. And the more the data comes in the more I am convinced that Democrat shenanigans didn't make the difference. Brat's biggest numbers were in solidly Republican areas. He may have had a high percentage in Dem areas but the numbers were low.

Uh… I don’t believe Brat was a Tea Party candidate.
He didn’t run under the Tea Party banner and did not receive Tea Party money.

Yep, I agree with you based on everything I have read. He appears to have the makings of a quaility candidate. Having said that, it appears the establishment has learned nothing as they seem hell bent on replacing Cantor with another squishy Republican. It is going to take years to send these RINO's packing and it will come in baby steps given the power of incumbency.

And thank the Lord that the Founders had the foresight to ensure changing it required almost unanimous consent. Even Harry Reid can't figure out how to illegally change it.
