We are looking at purchasing a home on the lake but have some questions on what is and what is not allowed for docks and piers. Can anyone direct me to the office or phone number at AL power that can help me out? MAybe there is a website that addresses the rules for Tallapoosa Cty?

ALABAMA POWER CORPORATE REAL ESTATE OFFICE IS LOCATED AT 1298 S TALLASSEE ST IN DADEVILLE. PHONE NUMBER 256-825-0053. THEY HAVE AN INFORMATION PACKET THAT HAS PERMIT REQUIREMENTS FOR PIER AND OR ANY OTHER STRUCTURE ON OR IN THE LAKE. JUST DROP IN AND THEY WILL BE GLAD TO GIVE YOU ONE.

Alabama Power people are very helpful and will adjust requirements a little. Be advised that Russell Lands projects have their own set of requirements that are much more strict than APC, Permit cost $250.00
