Sessions is working with a staff of whom 99% of them contributed to Hillary's campaign.

Wonder what the scum percentage is in the CIA, NSA, DHS, CID, FBI, NRO, etc that leak information for political purposes?

There is  stenographer present to transcribe the conversations and then printed transcripts are distributed to senior staff.

Never trusted Priebus.  Is it assumption or fact that all the leaks originate at the White House?

Lifer is right.  These calls are not made alone.  Usually there are staff members present and sometimes listening in on an extention.  It's not like he just picks of the phone and dials.

I'm sure that WP has a lot of well placed Souces.  But, I no longer consider them a good source for news.  They have become terribly biased in their reporting and misinformation is not just limited to the opinion page anymore.

When Becks bought them it ceased being a legitimate news organization and is nothing more than propaganda for the left.

How much I'd they pay those hare Krishna dudes to hang out in airports and beg? Nothing, they were religious zealots, just like democrats who have let themselves be brainwashed into believing an irrational dogma.

Hey Moldy...you can thank the Left for your Medicare.

Funny how you did not have a problem with all the leaks that were released about Clinton and the DNC during the election. Only matters when it is you party.

Leaks are bad but are sure fun to read......Thanks to the New York Times and the WP for publishing them. Maybe, it will convert Don The Con to Honest Don.

Trump comes across as a fool dealing with Mexico on the phone discussing the wall.

There are leaks, and then there are leaks. The Clinton leaks dealt with corruption, bribes, and election rigging by the democrats. Also, most of the Clinton leaks were obtained by hacking into their stupidly insecure computers by agents who were not government employees.

The trump leaks are generating from traitorous democrat governmenment employees who swore an oath not to leak (shows you how much the promise of a democrat is worth). Also, the trump leaksoften deal with issues of national security, an unforgivable felony. Any leaker caught exposing classified info should be shot, like the traitorous dogs they are.

Since you know so much, why don't you tell us who the leakers are??????  Probably the leakers are just patriotic Lying Trump haters.

I will concede a caveat. It's obvious some of the leaks have come from never trump "republicans", although it appears their leaks are more of a personal nature against trump. However, any "republicans" caught leaking xclassified info should be shot, along with democrats.

Most of the time, I think it makes them feel important.  I'm sure there are some people that consider themselves Patriots.  I worked with two guys tht were serial leakers and both of them were disgruntled employees.

My guess is money is involved in the leaks.  Are our beloved public servants being bribed to give info to our wonderful public servant media?

Leaking a criminal act is a whistleblower.  These facts help drain the swamp.  Heroes.

Leaking for the purpose of political damage deserves a tar & feathering and hanging on Fox.  Punishment for Treason is death.

No, no bribes.  The disgruntled do it to get back for something they believe was done wrong to them, the would be Patriots do it because they truly believe it's the right thing.  Others do it becasue they feel imporant being a "source"   News does not have to bribe anyone, because there are so many who will leak for free.

Tried to educate him, but he can't be educated.  So when his theory is wrong, he results to name calling.  If I cared about his opinion, I'd respond, but since I don't, I won't take the bait.  So much fun to watch people wallow in their own ignorance.  I'm sure he still takes his SS check every month and gets his medicare - of course, it is tainted by those disgusting federal workers who process his claims and proably listen to his BS.  If he is a veteran, he proably gets a VA check as well, once again tainted.  Perhaps he'll be audited by the IRS, and then he can deal with those awful federal employees up close and personal.  Did you know that the IRS monitors social media and actually does stake outs on tax cheats?

Now you fell into your own trap.  Like I am supposed to pay homage to fed employees because they return a small portion of what I paid into SSI and Medicare over the decades of employment.  Sorry, no homage.  Do your job.  And, no, no VA.  Everything I get back is simply  my gubment paying a piddling portion of what I paid into my SSI and Medicare.  As to the IRS, send 'em on......got nothin' to hide.  I hope they do monitor this Forum....if they do they are just wasting more of our tax money.....

Some of us remember when a certain vet used to come on  here and whine because he only got 10% VA disability and how he fought for more, all the while 100% employed in a cushy government job. There is no difference in vets earning their benefits and us civilians that paid into SS and media reports fore decades receiving our benefits. And before you make any comment about combat duty remember there a higher percentage of military who never see combat that have all those same benefits. I know non-compete vets drawing VA disability, one whose greatest risk was a paper cut.

My point is just this.  If you have such distain for the people responsible for seeing you get your benefit and help you when you have a problem, then perhaps you should keep your distain to yourself.  I have a friend who was a lawyer for social security.  She had to retire when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer.  It was a high pressure job, trying to meet processing times that were ridiculous to give a good review.  But, I suspect that most people will collect far more in SS and Medicare than they ever contributed, considering it is a life time benefit and people are living much longer.

My husband has not been on this website for 7-8 years, maybe longer.  I don't know what he said to you, but it must have really hurt your feelings that you keep a grudge going for this long.  He never mentions you.

I Don't have a grudge and he certainly is incapable of hurting my feelings. I'm not a snowflake. My point was SS Benefits and Medicare  are earned by way o (forced) participation  with payroll deductions. Veterans benefits are earned just for enlisting and being honorably discharged. In neither case do we, the participants, have any say over what or how much those benefits are.

I Just sat here several minutes trying to remember a time I had direct contact with a federal employee. I can't recall a single time. State workers many, many times but not federal. So I have to based my judgement on what I see and hear in the media about them. What I see are examples like Lois Lerner, and the fellow in the tub in Vegas, EPA employees who who release toxic waste from a mine into two river systems, with ZERO consequences and not an ounce of remorse. I could go on but there is no point in it. Maybe these guys are the exception and not the rule, but I doubt it. The attitudes and actions at the top carry throughout any organization, government or private. Just take a look at Uber to see it in the private sector. It doesn't mean they are bad people. Folks will always take advantage if they can. They emulate what they see in leadership because they assume, correctly, that is what the leaders want. I'm not even going to mention the crap going on now against Trump, but the same principles apply.

I Don't know wix. He may be a great person that just enjoys stirring the puddin' for fun and entertainment. (S)he may just be an ornery old goat, or some kid who enjoys trolling, or it could be an alter ego of Goofy. Only Goofy knows the answer to that. Or maybe he HAS had extensive contact with workers in one or more federal agencies and gotten the run around and pass the buck attitude.. Maybe he got that because he is an @sshole.i certainly don't know and am not going to condemn him for BS posted here. This site is both informational (Topics, Maintenance, Fishing Forums) and entertainment (Off topic, Jokes)... Take his posts with a grain of salt. It's just words on a screen.

Most people don't really interface with the federal government, yet they seem to have the impression that they know so much about it.  I've had similar horror experiences with SS, but then I have also had good experiences, like when I got a letter from the IRS telling me that my name and SS weren't connected.  The guy I saw at SS was really helpful.  But when I went to the local SS office here, because my SS number had been compromised, I was ready to choke the crap out of the guy who was so unhelpful.  And if you have ever dealt with the agony of dealing with the VA, you would wonder how such indifference is possible.

Yes, Lois Learner was clearly in over her head, and her only thought was to save her butt.  When I read about the people at GSA who spent an outrageous amount of money on some stupid conference, I was pretty ticked off too.  There are hundreds of stories where government employees ran amok, and seemingly were allowed to retire or resign, with no real consequences.  As a former Fed, I can tell you it rankles me too.  And i have worked for some political appointees who were just dumb as rocks, but still got their jobs, because they did something for a campaign.  It bothers me to see our taxpayers money wasted or treated in a cavalier manner.  i worked in international for years, and it still ticks me off when I see someone like Obama promise Africa a billion dollars, knowing full well that the money would not go for the stated purpose, but into some despots pockets.  And I have sat through some contract negotiations where I thought the government was woefully inadequately prepared to negotiate from a position of strength.

I'm almost 11 years retired, and I now view "government" from a much more removed distance.  And having been on the "inside" I probably view certain things that I see as the failure of the top leadership and failures of the staff to adequately prepare top leadership.  It makes me mad.  But when I think of all the people I have worked with over the years, the good people, the ones who work hard and do their best and always go the extra mile, it seems to me that the worst offenses, the ones you read about, are merely a few rotten apples in a basket of good fruit.

As has been stated many times I think we all harried that the DOD is probably one of the more more conscientious agencies. Several  others should be abolished starting with education and energy, then scaling back the EPA.

You may not want to rush to get rid of Energy.  They control our Nuke inventory and keep on top of the nuke stockpiles aroudn the world.  The timing might not be good for them.

Education has suffered at the hands of poor leadership with some ridiculous ideas.  Some states have wonderful schools and I am sure there would be no problem with the state running the schools without intervention.  Then I look at state's like Alabama and Lousiana, and I think if it weren't for fed oversight, they would so underfund education that the schools would be worse than they are.  And look at Montgomery lying about graduation rates.

I don't know enough about EPA to know whether they should go or not.  If you don't have them to ride herd on would be polluters, who is going to pick up on that?  They are not perfect, we know that, but I suspect that things might be much worse without them.
