Well, the man is holding his own. The press members in Arizona have not pinned him to the wall yet. Is he parsing words? Well, he has not said "it is according to what IS is'
He says the incidents did not happen, he has not sexually harassed anyone, that the cases are baseless, that the cases were settled with agreements, not legal settlements. I thought he was done, but he is doing pretty good. He may make a politician yet.

Ah, but now another woman has come forward. I guess this is a Democratic conspiracy?
Just because you keep saying "it didn't happen" doesn't mean it didn't.
Deny, deny, deny... remember Bill Clinton denied it all in the beginning too.
I think when 4 women come forward, it's worth keeping an eye on.

Yes, the rats do seem to be coming out of the woodwork don't they? Kind of like ambulance chasing attorneys hearing about an auto accident. This one is most interesting. She is a self proclaimed Independent that voted for Obama and claims Cain asked her to arrange for some hottie to join him for dinner. Then she and a group of women took him out to dinner and she was still bitter about him ordering expensive wine and sticking them with the bill. Yeah, she's credible.......

It's credible to me. I actually had someone ask me to set him up with a hottie during his TDY to our office(I told him I'm not a pimp). It happens. Some men are jerks. Believe it.

Well how would you like it if that same person told others in a press conference that you in fact acted as his pimp and set him up with a hottie? I suspect you would be outraged and rightly so. But you would also have to contend with all the people that believe it even if untrue. Thats exactly what you are doing. No evidence.....just a claim from a partisan Obama lover. But you choose to believe it...with no evidence.

There are 4, yes 4, women who have said that he made unwanted sexual advances. At least one of them was paid a settlement. If this was just one woman, I would agree that this might be bogus, but 4??? I think this begs for more investigation.

I believe him that he did nothing wrong ... and he did make the point that there was never a "settlement" that is a legal term after a lawsuit, but before a jury decision. there was never a lawsuit in any of the cases. And seriously, look at where these people work and who they are associated with. The latest woman after 14 years is accusing him of "criminal acts" but never even so much as discussed it with the police or anyone else.
They should be demanding she give a lie detector test so making such claims now.
As for the others ... being in the corporate world, anyone can make allegations, and it is becoming far too common. What you refer to as settlements were simply following the investigations that no wrong doing was found, they offered a severance package as part of the employee agreeing to leave the company. She could have stayed, but typically there is a money motivation and that is what they want.
I am sure a comment may have triggered the claim to their HR dept, but executives are always targets since they know most companies do not want press about such things, even if they know it is false. It is a problem with our legal system and why loser pays to file a suit would help eliminate many lawsuits.
But Herman is being raked over the coals for what seems like silly claims and a couple of severance packages following an investigation. If the employee really felt the act was harrassment and could prove it, (which obviously they could not if the investigations all cleared him of wrong doing), then filing a suit would have yeilded them much greater dollars.
It appears to me these were silly claims that there were no witnesses, and they took a small severance and left.
As for the confidentiality, any severance package has that to avoid the employee telling everyone the money they got which may encourage more false accusations.

You know, I might agree with you, IF it wasn't for the fact that the majority of women do not file police reports, because they know they will not be treated as a victim and will have their reputations dragged through the mud. Women are reluctant to file charges, because these are "he said/she said" cases, usually without witnesses. Sometimes women just try to get out of the situation; change jobs; or just let it go.
But that doesn't make it right.
And I still maintain that when 4 women say they had an experience with him, there is more to it than political skulduggery.
One more example of Cain parsing words -- he didn't say he "denied" the allegations, he said he "rejected" them. Remember Bill Clinton parsed words too.
It takes a lot of courage for a woman to come out with this kind of allegation. Women already know that men of going to say "she must have asked for it", or she was "scorned" or "it was all innocent".
