While the decline in union membership in the private sector to 6% of the workforce makes total economic sense, it is instructive to watch the dirt bag, criminal DemocRATs commit crimes in Michigan in protest of the legislature trying to save their economy. These union libtards are no better for our society than the occupy nut jobs. Assault, destruction of public property, trespassing, etc. seem to be common at these events. And most of them are being paid to protest unlike the Tea Party. And I can guarantee they won't clean up before they climb back into the rat holes they came out of. Oh, and I would fire any teacher that skipped school to go commit crimes......oh wait a second, you can't fire a govt employee for incompetence or anything else really......no wonder govt schools are in such lousy shape.
They just don't get it. Like the dinosaur govt media they are a thing of the past everywhere but with the government. The unions are simply money laundering machines for the Democrat party and business is no longer interested in paying the freight to elect anti-business DemocRATs. Move to right to work states. Move to other countries. Move anywhere to get away from unions and rightly so.

It doesn't matter where anyone moves to as long as the liberals are in charge of our welfare economy. Those that work are still going to pay for medical, food stamps, free phones, transportation, and housing for those that find it easier to pop out babies than work.

Now Hoffa is calling for a civil war......all this over giving workers a right to work and not pay mandatory union dues.
I say bring it on and I would authorize the police to shoot to kill any union thug with a weapon. Let's use a little police action to quell this uprising and while we are at it, let's follow the example of the much beloved Uncle Abe and dispense with habeas corpus and put the leadership in prison. That will get their sorry a$$es back to work instead of wasting more taxpayer dollars.
Its time to put an end to the money laundering operation once and for all. Let's see how many union members voluntarily give money to DemocRAT politicians.......I already know the answer to that one and so do they. Unions have outlived their usefulness and need to go away.

Unions certainly served a useful purpose when labor laws lagged in protecting workers but such is no longer the case. They are money laundering machines for the Democrat party and are no longer about the worker. They are all about the union leadership and reelecting DemocRATs.

Offer up ONE legitimate case. I will document a dozen non-union folks injured, or killed, by a union thug for every ONE union member that have been injured or killed due to their association with the union. Union thugs are much more likely to commit violence against a "scab" than vice-versa.
I have a brother-in-law who belonged to the Ohio National Guard unit that was dispatched to Kent State. To hear that story from an eye witness is to realize you never heard the story before. The readers digest condensed version is that the entire unit was on edge because they had been patrolling and escorting 'scab' truckers on the roads and highways of Ohio for days prior to being sent to Kent State campus. There was teamsters strike in full swing at the time. The union thugs had been having a blast taking pot shots at them. None were actually injured, but being shot at with no way to defend oneself is not very good for the nerves.
As Martini already stated, unions have long outlived their usefulness. This is from someone who grew up in a union household. My Father was even elected president of his local several years running, only resigning to take a management position. I think he was psychic at times because we used to talk politics in my youth and he stated then that teachers unions would be downfall of this country. That was in the early 80's. He was dead on.

Don't answer. The question is rhetorical. I don't live in 'other' countries. I live in the USA, where freedom used to rule the day. Third world dictators and thugs always suppress the population. It has nothing to do with the formation, or not, of labor unions.
In the early days of unions here they served a very useful purpose advocating for decent wages, safe workplaces and stopping child labor. We have many redundant federal agencies that do that now. Unions are money laundering operations for democrat politicians, nothing more.

I think he is referring to govt employees. After all, they only make more money than the private sector, have better benefits, longer vacations and are off for every holiday known to man........and they can't be fired for incompetence (but do get promotions to get rid of them)........but they only have four coffee breaks per day!!!! The slave drivers!! Its no wonder they had to unionize.......I am sad for them and the sweatshop conditions they work under. You should be ashamed to not have known that Lifer! :-)

He must be a lib/dem/union thug. Only someone of that pedigree would offer up an ignorant, banal, totally unsupportable claim to try and buttress another stupid statement. Facts are stubborn little things. I gave up years ago trying to decipher why libs/dems refuse to avail themselves of them when they wade into conversations. Reagan really did sum it up so well when he made the infamous comment that democrats believe so much that just isn't true. :<)
