I sure hope you didn't vote for this guy masquerading as a Republican. You are so quiet these days. Guess it is embarrassing for one of your own to want more stimulus tax money to be spent. Or, maybe I am wrong and you do support more debt to pay for rebates. The extension may also provide a rebate for certain existing home owners. Bush started the bailout and now this conservative wants to increase the debt that your children and grandchildren will have to pay off.

"Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson of Georgia has been leading the rally cry to extend a stimulus program which gives first time homebuyers an $8,000 tax credit."

Never confuse Republican with conservative. Anyone can put an "R" after their name, or a "D" for that matter, but that doesn't make them conservative or liberal. I do not know the gentleman in question but if he is for bigger government, higher taxes and expanded entitlements he is no conservative.

Have known Johnny since the mid '80s when he was a member of the Ga House of Representatives in a very small minority republican party..............he was and is known as a republican.........not a conservative.......I'll throw a gotcha back at yuh..........Bet you hate your old democrat ex-gov and ex-senator Zell Miller now don't yuh!!

I moved from Georgia many years ago. I really never followed Zell as governor but did think he should have come out and become a Republican rather than be a closet Republican.

Sooooo, with that Zell logic..........some of the Blue Dog Dems should come clean and change their D's to R's...........and Sen. Susan Collins along with O. Snow should run as D's.........

where is the answer to what you are personally proud of that Obama and the socialist administration has accomplished in their first year.

There has to be something with the way you shoot your mouth off and you pick the fly sh*t out of the pepper on just about everything. So come on ... lets hear all the great accomplishments that you are so proud of that is now moving the country in the right direction.

Your continued silence on the subject either demonstrates you do not know ... or there is nothing ... or you are just one of those party line individuals that does not have a mind of your own and just spouts the talking points.

Here's a better question for you GF, vote for a Republican that is conservative on most issues or vote for a Democrat that is a liberal? If you are a thoughtful, intelligent, conservative voter you obviously take the lesser of two evils and don't waste your vote on a 3rd party candidate with no hope of winning.

I agree with you that Collins and Snow should be Democrats. However, the people of Maine love those woman. Just think how powerful Snow has become. More powerful than Pelosi.

As I recall, when Jonny introduced this he had the support of Chris Dodd (D) and Harry Reid (D). Do the Repubs not get the message? We want ZERO deficit!! Slavery was our nations first great sin, now it is generational theft.

That't the way it goes when you really have a big tent like the Republican Party. We can have prominent members of Congress that diverge from party orthodoxy unlike the Dems. You have to be in lockstep or don't count on a committee chairmanship or other prominent role.

Uuuhhh GF............i didn't say that Collins and Snow should be D's, so you have nothing to agree with me on............I was following your logic to it's final conclusion, and wondering if you agreed that Blue Dogs should be R's along with Collins and S..............oh never mind........the wheel is turning but the hamster is dead!

You are so right. Thanks for pursuing it to its logical conclusion. And yes, while you will not agree some of the Blue Dogs may well qualify as Republicans. I actually support a Blue Dog and voted for him.
