Besides your home, deck, porch or your neighbors, what are some of your
favorite places to eat around the lake. What dish does it for you?

A good cheeseburger, fries, and an order of cheese stix at the Dockside Grill sure hit the spot 'round lunch time. Chuck's pizza and a 32 oz draft sure goes well with some karaoke 'round dinner time.

Read the latest news about Trans Fatty acids and you might not want to indulge in deep fried foods at all. Kinda like when we realized how harmful smoking was-- lots of people quit.

A mans gotta live a little. I probably have fried food about once every 2 months. Dad still eats it daily at age 84. Good genes I guess. What do you suggest? Last I saw, Lake Martin didn't have any restaurants specializing in bean sprouts and sushi.

My God, not this subject again. Some people just have to much idle time.

Here we go again..... Whee! Wood burger and rings at Oscars, Beer brawls at The Cove-upstairs, Most grouper dishes at Sinclairs in the porch with lots of beer. Cheap breakfast at Bobs-actually for the people watching and musical chairs, and when on all cylinders-Piney Woods catfish, chicken livers at JR's (the best are at the Wiggly Pig), Fajita Salad at Niffers, Pizza & beer at Chucks anytime, and a Big B at the Big B (NOT the beef one), Cecils is consistent for the menu. Anyone tried Yellowhammer?

Across from the Piggly Wiggly in Dadeville. It's called "Bob's Fine Foods".

The Yellowhammer is pretty pricey! Dinner, wine, beer, and dessert close to $100. Food is supposed to be mediterranean (?) continental. We thought it was average - the wine list was pretty long - and they had several kinds of beer - no mixed drinks. The place used to be a car dealership in the 1930's-1940's and the atmosphere was interesting. We enjoyed it but probably won't go back.

Would that dump make a mudpuddle?

Quite possibly, yes. Unless there are other unforseen complications and your digestive system reacts negatively to fried foods the result could result in massive amounts of mud....or just one extra large extraction of flatulance upon reaching the unpaved parking lot.
But, dang, it was good!

Thanks... I was curious. I think where it is is curious. Alex City needs a small very upscale restaurant - might work better there.

Where is Oscars? and The Cove?? I know and LOVE Sinclairs' hamburgers & chicken fingers. Where is Bobs?? and Piney Woods? and Niffers? Boating over to Chucks is awesome on a nice summer afternoon. Big B is good too. Whats also really good is the fried chicken and french fries at that Gas station across from Big B, but that is only on week days, and Game day Saturdays.

Hi
From just south of the blue creek bridge on 49 there is Niffers; then over the bridge to the cove then more north to Oskars.
