Subject:	BLOODHOUND MISSING - REMINDER

As everyone travels over the next couple of weeks, please keep your eyes and ears open for Millie. Today makes SEVEN WEEKS that she's been gone from home.

I have to hope that someone traveling may see and recognize her.

She is tall and lanky and did weigh around 85 pounds. She's a redish/tan color with black trim (bottoms of her ears, around her eyes and saddleback). She HAS been spayed. She LOVES to swim. She is drawn to kids as she LOVES to play fetch and hide and seek.

She WILL respond when you call her name.....MILLIE.

They say bloodhounds can follow a scent for hundreds of miles but they say they don't have the ability to 'back track' and there have been literally hundreds of bloodhounds reported as lost or stolen between OK/KS and AL in the last month or so - most recently a 10-month old female just outside of Dothan yesterday.

I know some of you may think I'm crazy for continuing my search for her, especially after 7-weeks, and are tired of seeing the bloodhound postings but this is my baby. I can't just give up on her.

Thank you all for your continued prayers for Millie's return....and if you see her - get her! It's impossible to know what scent path she may be persuing if she's loose and being even one step behind her means nothing.

I don't think you are crazy at all. My dogs are members of my family and I understand that losing Millie is like losing a member of your family.

My husband and I continue to keep our eyes open everywhere we go around the lake. I've even asked my two cat communities to turn their positive thoughts to you getting Millie back home. (I realize this sounds a bit "new age-y, but it's a non-dominational kind of prayer)

We have not forgotten about Millie . We will all continue to look at every bloodhound or dog on the road and think about Millie. Hoping she will be brought back home.
