don't know exactly how many golf courses there are in Alabama and Georgia that draw water from rivers and impoundments that ultimately reduce the flow of the Alabama river and lower the levels of the lakes.
I would bet that it is quite a few and the the effect is a lot more than what SOD FARM GUY is using.
IF YOU WILL REMEMBER IT WAS THE HOPES OF ANOTHER GOLF COURSE THAT GOT THE BIG BOATS RUN OF LAKE MARTIN.
Why is it that the people who want to play golf have so much influence?
COULD IT BE ABOUT MONEY? OR ARE THEY JUST BETTER AT STROKING IT?

Many courses water from on site ponds and/or use recycled water. Lakewinds in AC is a good example.
