I started thinking about this yesterday, when the media kept replaying the tape of the Atty General collapsing while making a speech the other night. Even after he was declared to be okay and released from the hospital, they continued to run the tape of him collapsing.
I'm sure this was very humiliating to the Atty General to have it happen at all, but then to have it replayed and replayed. What has happened to the sense of dignity in this country? Where does the public right to know stop and the privacy of the individual begin? One could argue that he is a public figure and he was making a public speech, but did I really need to see the tape? Back when Bush 41 was President, he had the misfortune to get sick at a dinner for the Japanese. Did we really need to see the tape?
Am I off base here? What do y'all think?

I don't disagree ... but it is news. I just wish the media would take other news seriously and show it. Yes I am talking about all the Obama stuff the media dismissed.

Switch to APT News for a breath of fresh air. (Maybe?)
Look on the Net for alternate News sources.
I know, it is tough to find news that doesn't have a "Spin". Certainly all the US Network News stations. But, at least, tune OUT NIGHTLY NEWS on all channels. You might as well be watching a Viagra or MaxiPad, or Plavix, or Lipitor, along with your dose of Worldwide Disaster. No answers, just Bad News, that keeps YOU Watching THIS Channel. For the next disaster.
Newspapers too!!

I do turn it off. I just noted that it was proliferated everywhere.
BTW, I watch APT.
I was really just wondering how people here feel about the public right to know versus privacy and used that as an example.
