There are new signs on the Coosa 20 stating that "Video Surveillance in Use" and "Smile, you are on camera". They were just put up today and they are attached to County signs.

I hope they really do have video surveillance in effect.  There are a limited number of ways to get to our neck of the woods, and I for one don't care if they have video of my coming and going, especially if it deters the scumbags from stealing our stuff.

I agree.  I've been checking on my part time neighbors houses, although last I heard, the robbers had moved toward Real Island.

I keep all my tools in a 6x10 enclosed trailer and haul it back and forth from Montgomery when I come to work on our cabin addition.  I am surprised that nobody has inquired as to just what I might be carrying.  If they did and I opened it they would be very disappointed...no flat screens or play stations, just scattered tools, fasteners, cords, hoses, hammers, saw scans a sack of the weekend's garbage...lol

I've found that keeping those huge old tube TV's out and in the open might be a good deterrent. The would be burglars look in the window and decide to move to greener pastures.  I don't even have cable service so the old TV's serve as decoys, or scarecrows. I learned years ago to bring anything of these burglars consider valuable......leaf blowers, tools, etc.
