Am blessed to have a national park right across the street from where I live. So the wife and I decided to take the dog for a walk in the woods and along the river. Lo and behold, there is a barricade on the entrance and they put large rocks across the access road. Sign says closed due to government shutdown. No problem, we walked around them and proceeded to have the entire place to ourselves. Most weekends it is too crowded to take our dog so this was a rare treat. I am liking this so called shutdown......I say so called because only 17% of federal employees have been furloughed. The other 83% are apparently trying to inflict as much pain on the American people as possible.

I'm really glad you enjoyed your walk.  Look what the bastards did at the Vietnam Wall.  omama has become lower than Jimmy Carter could possibly be at his lowest by pardoning the cowards that went to Canada.  I can't even express how I feel about this.  I think this absolute disgrace to all Vietnam Vets should at least have nerve enough to resign his position as PinC.  He doesn't even make a good pretender.

As much as I hate to say it, this may be time to push back against the govt and force them to arrest veterans that have served their country. While an ordinary person would have to much dignity to do what Obama and his ilk are doing to inflict as much pain on the American people, we have to remember that they are left wing nuts. All that matters is power and control and personal wealth. If they could use force to get is to do everything they want they most certainly would. Why do you think they are maniacal about taking away our guns, controlling our health care, etc. They have no shame, they lack any shred of decency and all they care about is "winning". Speaking of winning, Jake Tapper had a great line about that. He said some people in DC (the senior administration official quote) talking about winning sounds a lot like Charlie Sheen. Great analogy because as with Charlie, every time he spouted his "winning!" on his vlogs everyone watching knew he was losing. Only the left and the govt media.....I know, redundant terms.....think TOTUS and the Dems are winning. Like 1996, they will be in for a surprise. Except this time it will be worse for them because they are inflicting this pain on brave Americans over a wildly unpopular law at a time when so many Americans are suffering economically and the world is in ruins over WOTUS' feckless foreign policy. As many others have said, SOTUS is no Bill Clinton.....unless Moochelle gives him permission to be......after he washes the dishes and takes the garbage out and eats all his veggies and cleans off his binky.......what an abject failure.......

Fortunate indeed.  It is a great place to take a walk. Good memories of when I could walk around.
On another note, I am being impacted by this shutdown. Will create a new post so not to hijack yours.

Apparently they have enough park rangers to chase people off and ticket their cars but not enough to allow people in. And in this case they need exactly zero park rangers for people to use this particular facility.  As the one honest park ranger said, we have been instructed to make this as painful as possible....its disgusting.  But hey, they are "winning" so who cares about the American people?  Certainly not them.......
