How about the Red Cross saying that the 5.3 billion in private donations is not enough for 280,000 people... That's almost $19,000 per person. And to top it off Bush says 200 billion may not be enough.... that's another $714,000 per person...

My guess is the Red Cross used $4.98 billion to cover their salaries and bonuses. Sorry guys but I don't have much use for the Red Cross--this quasi-government bureaucracy collects tons of money from good, well meaning people and companies, then uses free volunteers to do all their leg work while the executives live the good life on free money.

They even collect free blood and sell the by-products.

....and I watched them go job site to job site handing out free hot lunches and dinners to paid, out of town (mostly illegal immigrants) workers. Workers would gather up arm loads of extra meals to take home. That's wasting your money.
