Does anyone know a way to find a picture of what it looks like out there right now? i.e. aerial photo?

A webcam overlooking the area would have been nice.

I was just thinking that's what they should've done.

Just talk with some friends on the cell phone, already there. They tell me about 1000 boats are there now.

A few hours ago, John Dicke posted some pics on facebook, if you had joined the "Lake Martin; Sweet Home Alabama!" group you could see'em!

Let just say from looking at the facebook pages, if you have not moored you boat yet you are most likely SOL. Best I can tell form the pics from around 12 today most of the spots have been taken. Could be wrong, but it is now 2:30 and the 12 o'clock pictures looked like the spots were filling up quickly.

I would say that is pretty much correct. Or at least looks like it.

Just got back from taking some stuff to the boat. At 1:30 central there are approx 500 boats tied up. I also drove across the bridge and there are boats coming from the dam area. There are still three rows of bouys that have no one tied to them.

LOL....I am about 5 hours away from pulling up. I doubt there is a chance. I dont mind floating and anchoring though.

I just returned from a cruse around Aquapalooza (aprox 3:30) and if it is correct that they can moor 1000 boats there are at least 300 mooring spaces left (maybe more) most on outer lines 6,7 and 8. A lot of boats moored but also a lot of space left.
