Every time I mention I haven't gotten a red light yet I get the next five lights.  Every time I say I haven't lost a golf ball yet I lose three on the next hole.  Every time I mention how nice it is to see the water levels up, APCO drops them like a rock and then we have a drought........oh, dang, it!  There I go again jinxing it.......sorry......

Way ahead of you.  Water goes up...have a martini.  Water goes down....have a martini.  Water stays the same....have a martini.  Not that I need an excuse to have a martini!

Well, at least we don't have to listen to whining about the water level being in it's normal range....but that will probably be coming soon as APC brings it back below the rule as they're required to do.

Sure am glad to see these rains.  Guess part of our "job" is to inform some of these newbies how things work around here. We all had to learn  one time.

Here you go....I'm sure the water will be released as fast as possible.  Probably a little afraid of them there "farmers" that are down stream.  Seems they are getting flooded... but a rule curve is the rule & we must save the "sturgeon" and of course the heavily utilized (joke) Alabama River.  Maybe, they are generating & storing power and we all get "free" electricity this summer.  Ha! Ha! Ha!

Ouch....   I live, and also have a "Camp" on the Alabama River.  We enjoy it very much when we get a break from working in the Summer.  However, with all the rain we have not been really close (within' four feet) of getting flooded YTD, or for the last few years.  My .02 worth.

For Crappyattitude. If you are not already familiar with how to check on the lake level at Lake Martin, follow this information for a minute to minute update. enter (www.lakemartin.com), click on "Lake Conditions" on the left of the screen; on the right of the next screen click on "View Lakes Information". On the next screen under "Select River" enter "Tallapossa" and under "Select Lake" enter "Lake Martin". Look to the left on this screen and you will see the up to the minute level of Lake Martin. Also, scroll down to see graph that shows the "rule curve", the current level of the lake, and where it is projected to be on any given date.

My bad. Thanks for pointing out my error. The log in should have been "www.alabama power.com" and not "www.lakemartin.com". The rest of the information is correct. s

IMO there is no good reason to have the water level down more than a few feet at any time of year.We have been scammed for years into buying "lake front".I'm just saying!
